DO I HAVE TO PURCHASE A WEBSITE CARE PLAN?
If you would rather not sign up for any maintenance plan, any updates or security fixes will be billed at our current hourly rate. We do not recommend this option unless you have another developer or are very confident in managing your site updates and backup yourself.
Note that problems caused by an incorrect WordPress software or plugin update or plugin installs done by yourself or another third party may or may not be fixable without doing a complete restore of your website data, and if you are NOT on a Website Care Plan, all work will be charged at a much higher hourly rate to fix your site.
DO YOU OFFER ONE-TIME OR AS-NEEDED SUPPORT?
We recommend any client who wants an ongoing and priority support relationship to be subscribed to a Website Care Plan. However, if you are not on a plan, if time permits we will take on small one-time help requests. Work for non-Care Plan clients will be billed at a higher rate, and the response time will be slower, within 72 hours on business days instead of 24-36 hours 24/7.
IS THERE A CONTRACT? CAN I UPGRADE, DOWNGRADE, OR CANCEL MY PLAN?
There is no contract, you may upgrade, downgrade or cancel at any time – just shoot us an email and let us know. There are no refunds for any unused time or for annual plans prepaid.
HOW AM I BILLED?
CAN I BUY A WEBSITE CARE PLAN FOR A WEBSITE THAT YOU DIDN’T CREATE OR REDESIGN?
CAN YOU GUARANTEE THAT MY SITE WILL NEVER GET HACKED?
No. Nothing can 100% prevent a site hack. Hackers are a crafty, nasty bunch. No matter how tight the security, there is always a chance that they can get in. This is why daily backups and hacker protection to restore your site in case of an attack are critically important.
DO PLANS INCLUDE E-COMMERCE PLUGIN UPDATING/MAINTENANCE?
There is an additional charge to update e-commerce plugins as they often break the CSS of your site and then we need to take time to fix that. Rates vary depending on what your e-commerce shop you are using – please contact us for an estimate.
WHAT ARE “SMALL TECH SUPPORT TASKS”?
Small tech tasks include any task that takes us less than 30 minutes to complete and typically covers things like content updates, plugin research
