One of the first steps to figuring out your marketing budget is to establish your total revenue.  Part of your strategy should be a good marketing budget and to make sure your website design is modern and effective.  

Marketing Budgets for New Companies

For new companies, at least 12%-20% of your gross revenue should be allocated to marketing in order to accomplish effective exposure and create recognition for your brand.

Marketing Budgets for Established Companies

For established companies, at least, 6%-12% of your gross revenue should be allocated to marketing. You are able to spend less because you have created a following of your brand through time and experience in the marketplace.
